Returning into the arms of your Mother/Father God is also temporary.  Your personal life is not at all as you have assumed it to be.  Remember each of you is a tiny spark in the ocean of sparks all being a part of our Beloved Creator.  Each and every spark has its own life and that is a chosen life by you and your advisors.  What you become and how you become it is totally up to you.  You pick your family, your gifts and move forward at a pace that is comfortable for your true essence.  The Creator helps to mold and direct you when asked, so know all you need do is ask and it shall be given.  Seek and you will find, knock and the door will open.
